Location, Location, Location

B and I grew up in very rural areas and we love the outdoors. We were in heaven when for 9 months we lived in the farm house my grandfather grew up in. You really couldn't see any neighbors and we had access to 250 acres as well as being right next to the Blue Ridge Parkway. It was great until the 45 min one way drive was killing me. We had to leave where B calls "God's Country" and move to the city a few miles away from my school.

So when we were thinking of where we were going to get married, it was pretty clear what our decision would be.

Since I was in the second grade my parents and I attended a Methodist Church in the next town over. I always thought I'd get married there but the minister had changed so many times and there was a new minister that I had yet to meet and form any relationship with. Also, my parents moved to the farm which was 2 hours away from my home town. This only solidified our idea.

We wanted to get married in the front yard of the farmhouse. When we told our parents, they were all excited, especially my mom. It was a bit disappointing that the farm is 3-4 hours away for most of B's family and friends, but there wasn't anything we could do about that.
